Michelle Ventress (News Bureau)
Michelle hails from some remote barbaric part of the primitive Northlands otherwise known as Canada where she has to suffer a 10gb cap with no hope of relief from a third party ISP anytime soon. In a rare but pleasant combination, she is highly opinionated but also well informed about many matters in regards to digital rights and policy. Much of the foundation's early news stores came from stuff she was digging up faster than we could store and curate so now we've made the relationship official.
Steven Evans (Broadband Research)
Steven Evans has been a Senior Network Engineer with Netway Networks in Australia for over a decade. He has been a computer enthusiast since 1992 and has seen the Australian computer technology space evolve from niche dial up BBS' to the current broadband age. Steven's chosen Australian ISP's have included TIG and iHug from the beginning of the dialup age in Australia through to unlimited ADSL2+ from TPG. He is now currently a freelance IT Computer Consultant working on various projects including multi-site ring and star VPN network topologies on with a preference for the Linux operating system. Aside from Munly, he is our first addition to the Australian research staff and is helping us with our "State of Play" in that region along with authoring a special report on their National Broadband Network (NBN) to this date When he is not advocating cheap, fair and reliable broad band for all he can be found at jumping from pub to pub trying to find the one which is serving the freshest, crispest and tastiest beer. Mmmm, beer.
